  • "Windyways is a great little cottage, well equipped and in great condition."

The whole house is really light and there is a fabulous view from the lounge. Walks accessible from the back garden. Well positioned to access Haworth and surrounding area. Would recommend!!

  • "We stayed for a week, absolutely amazing."

Yes the lane is a bit bumpy, and there are steps to the house, but once you are in the house....oh my goodness, it was beautiful. So light and bright, the views out of the lounge were to die for, and facing west so you had a sunset every night for free! Then the bat's came out, we didn't want to go to bed. But the bed was sooooo comfy, slept very well. Who ever cleans needs a pay rise..every where was spotless, and the whole house smelt lovely when we walked in. Everything you could need is there, even a boost to the heating when you needed it. Can't recommend this property enough, if you don't go you will be missing out, it was gorgeous. If it comes up for rent again next year we will be there. Thank you so much for letting us share your house, you have an amazing home. As you can probably tell we loved it. X

The house was beautifully presented. Access was a bit tough after navigating the rough track and then bringing luggage in up the steps, that said when your in its fantastic.

  • "Windyways is such a beautiful place to stay and the cleanest property we have ever stayed in."

Exceptionally clean. Everything is within the property that you would need for a stay away from home, the bed is very comfortable and the views beautiful. A very cosy place to stay. Parking on the drive, under the car port is always a bonus for me We will not hesitate to come back in the future as there is so much to do round and about, staying at Windyways just made our break so much nicer. Would recommend to anybody who is visiting the area.

The children enjoyed the Roald Dahl book collection and the views were stunning. Lovely shower with plenty of hot water when needed and kitchen is well equipped and lovely comfie beds in all rooms. Very friendly neighbours and helpful housekeeping team locally when needed. Great location for walks and visiting local attractions with a lovely peaceful sanctuary to relax when home. Path to house is steep but well lit and maintained. Thank you.

  • "This is a beautiful cottage with everything you could need for your comfort ."

The rooms are large & spotlessly clean . The views from the cottage are amazing . On that subject the cottage is high up and there are a lot of steps to get there . We found it challenging at times being older , also the rough road leading to the cottage . Younger people probably wouldn’t find it difficult . Also the gate at the back of garden leading to Haworth seemed impossible to get through as it was overgrown .What would be useful is instructions , particularly the television. We had to sign into get programmes . Never the less we had a lovely holiday , Haworth is very easy to get to . Keighley is quite a big town convenient for shopping and Ilkley is delightful .

The beds were so comfy we actually came home and bought ours a new mattress! Thank you so so much for the perfect stay in your beautiful property. We shall return. Nicola , Steven & Tyler .

  • "Just stayed at Windy Ways and had a great time ."

This is a lovely cottage , very comfortable and fantastic views. We stayed for the weekend and walked from the cottage into Haworth which took about an hour. The area and views are stunning and the cottage is beautiful, very well maintained and like a home from home. We did struggle to find it at first as the sign was hidden slightly by plants that had grown over it and it is on a bumpy road. We parked the car and didn’t use it again and walked from the cottage to wherever we wanted to go. We did catch a taxi back and it was easy to call for a taxi and they came within 5 minutes. I would recommend this cottage for its pituresque view’s beautiful surroundings and a comfortable stay.

Hi Valerie, Thank you for your great feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Windyways. Leanne mentioned you called in at The Old Registry, in Haworth, for a drink and a chat. It is lovely for walking around the area and it looked like the weather was great when you stayed. Thanks again for your positive comments, we really do appreciate it. • "We are so pleased to have discovered WindyWays, which was a home from home."

Such a beautiful spot to relax with a small family. Gorgeous gardens to look out over during our Springtime stay. A symphony of bird song to enjoy. Beautiful bathroom, master bedroom , kitchen area and views from the sitting room. A stone’s throw from Haworth. Would highly recommend. Just to note (for families with small ones, like us) there is no washing machine - so pack enough items to last your stay without a wash! Luckily we had friends down the road to help us - having not checked this on the list of facilities. Accessed from a private road with great views but formed of ballast not tarmac - so be aware that taxis may drop you off a 5 min walk away from the property.

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
