"Such a beautiful cottage, everything was well thought out and not just from a business perspective."
You could feel love in the home and that the family wanted your stay to be inviting. The kitchen was amazing, we had no problems cooking in there for three nights and the log burner kept us toasty and warm. Beds were really comfortable too. Such a beautiful Yorkshire cottage right in the doorstep to everything by car
-
"We had an amazing weekend here, the cottage was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, lovely welcome gift, perfect location."
Our only issue was we didn't stay long enough!

"The cottage is very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped."
The drawbacks are road noise and parking. There is no garden, the patio is at the front by the road.
-
"Beautiful home, exactly as advertised The games, books films etc provide for children visitors was outstanding."
We needed to bring nothing Fantastic location The perfect place for my family (3 generations) to relax, chill and just enjoying being together away from the everyday pressure of daily life. Thanks also for the scones and bottle of wine chilling in the fridge The grouse did good food…..

"We love how spacious and comfortable Greenfield cottage is."
The rooms are large so everyone can relax and enjoy family time. The kitchen is very well equipped and Alison is a very friendly and helpful host. The welcome gifts were very generous and much appreciated.

"Lovely cottage, really comfortable and well equipped - tastefully furnished, a real home from home feel."
Thoughtful welcome pack. Excellent communication with Alison (the host). This is a great location for exploring the area. We would definitely stay again!

"A fantastic cottage; it’s in a great location for exploring the local sites and as a base for a walking break and some local pubs."
The cottage is spacious (we were a family of four with two dogs) and really well equipped. The lounge is cosy and great for relaxing after a day out exploring and the beds were really comfortable which was a first for us at a holiday cottage. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated and we’d certainly stay again
-
"Lovely cosy cottage with excellent facilities Great access to local pubs Very clean and comfortable Only draw backs were parking and lack of garden space for dog Otherwise we will definately go back."
Ideal for cycling and walking
-
"A lovely cottage but we did struggle keeping warm, my elderly parents were cold, we had to go out and buy wood for the fire as the owner only supplies enough for one day."
Although the weather was cold for this time year but I do feel there should have been enough wood for the weekend. We have never had that problem with a sykes cottage before we even had to buy toilet roll which we have never had to do in a cottage before. The cottage is in a lovely position and it was a very comfortable cottage just a few things that disappointed us but overall we had a nice chilled weekend.
-
"Such a lovely clean cozy cottage."
With great features. Alison made us feel so welcome, with the welcome pack which had home made delicious scones, butter & Jam. Tea, coffee etc and a bottle of Prosecco. We loved every minute of our stay at Greenfield cottage and would definitely return. Weather wasn’t the best whilst we were there, to get out doing all the lovely walks located near by. (We did a few). But was happy to relax in the cozy cottage playing boards games in front of the log burner.

"Alison was a wonderful host who made every effort to ensure we were comfortable in her beautiful and very spacious cottage."
When we asked for help with the heating as we were being a little dense about the thermostat, she immediately offered to come round and help us out and ended up building us a fire! The welcome gifts were also a lovely touch and much appreciated. Bedrooms were very comfortable and everything was spotless. A great find and we will certainly ask to stay again!

"Excellent hosts beautiful cottage would definitely use again"
-
"Just returned from an amazing 4 day break at Greenfield cottage Arrived to a welcome gift of Prosecco and scones."
Accommodation was spotlessly clean, plenty of room for 6 adults and the log burner was a real treat Ideal location to walk into Haworth, the moor walk to the waterfalls and top withins. Ilkley, Bolton abbey and Skipton are also in close proximity Ps our border collie loved the location
-
"We absolutely loved our stay in this cottage."
It has absolutely everything you could possibly need during a short self catering stay and really felt like a home from home. It’s in a great location for going on lots of beautiful walks, and the log fire was welcomed to warm us up afterwards. The owners are so helpful and even put the heating on for our arrival. We would 100% recommend this cottage, great for families and although it doesn’t have a garden, the enclosed front area was fine for our dogs to have a bedtime wee.

"Greenfield Cottage was a delight to stay in."
Pictures on website don’t do it justice! There’s nothing it doesn’t have! So very clean and comfortable. Beds were amazing! Enjoyed cosy nights in front of the log burner [starter pack included!] on comfy sofas. A Welcome Pack on our arrival was such a lovely touch - scones, jam, butter, milk, tea & coffee selection, Prosecco and fresh flowers too! Thank you Alison, such a lovely host and very quick to answer messages. Will return one day and definitely recommend to family and friends.

"This is an absolutely lovely cottage, homely, comfortable and well equipped."
It's a great base for exploring Bronte country, and the Yorkshire Dales.
-
"Super cottage- everything you needed was provided, and more!"
Beautiful flowers inside, and pot plants outside. Extremely comfortable beds. No garden, but there was a public footpath a few yards up the hill where you could take the dogs. There was a little courtyard by the front door for outside space. Owner, Alison, was extremely helpful. We had to leave earlier than expected which was a real shame! Although the cottage sits by the roadside, we were not disturbed by the noise of the traffic. Lovely area for walking.

"It’s like stepping back in time at Greenfield Cottage!"
This lovely & cosy ‘chocolate box’ cottage in the heart of the Yorkshire is a must if you’ve never visited these parts before. Everything you could possibly wish for is provided by Alison Scott & family. There’s lots of little personal touches, welcome package including scones, coffee tea etc, milk & prosecco. Freshly cut flowers Plenty of info for trips out, board games to play in front of wood burning fire (sadly not required for our august stay!) 3D tv for cinema nights. Our kids loved their own floor of the house (attic) equipped with gaming stations, books & toys. The beds are so comfy & the waterfall shower was bliss! Plenty of places to visit in the area. Our favourites included Ilkley, Holden Park, Cliff Castle & Museum & of course the historical Haworth & Bronte Parsonage which is a short enjoyable walk away from Oakworth, the views are amazing. We managed a couple of times to walk via Tim Lane & up the steep incline to Howarth but opted for taxis back via Bronte Taxis £4.50 back to the cottage - well worth it. Oakworth KWVR is also another ‘must do’ to view the beautiful steam engines where ‘The Railway Children’ was filmed. At the station is a lovely little ‘tea hut’ that sells fabulous ice cream. Our plan was to have a lovely relaxing break & that’s just what we got we were sorry to leave!!! Highly recommend.

"Lovely cottage, couldn't fault it!"
My Grandson loved his own space in the loft room/games room. We loved the treats in the goodie hamper. Would highly recommend this property to our family and friends

"We loved the cottage, felt like a home from home."
We had a lovely welcome pack with milk, tea, coffee and scones with jam and butter. Just what we needed, we also had a bottle of lovely Prosecco for the evening. The cleanliness was above and beyond, usually I have to clean first but no it was so clean. The beds were comfy and all the info was great, I made a cake with the kids on a rainy day, as the range cooker was excellent, and pancakes.. We played board games and had some family time. The Nintendo was a really lovely touch, my 18 year old loved it! So did I, but I wasn’t very good. Very relaxing time - loved it. Alison was so helpful too.

"Greenfield cottage from the moment you walk in feels like a home from home."
So many special little touches starting with the welcome basket really make you feel at ease. There is everything available, no having to dash out to the shop because you've forgotten shampoo or washing up liquid, the owners have thought of everything. The cottage itself is so comfortable and a joy to sit around the table after supper playing an assortment of games provided for the children /grandchildren or having an hours peace in the lounge while they are in the playroom! Location couldn't better, so many places within an average of 30 minute drive. Bolton abbey, Skipton castle and Stump Cross caverns is just a little further but were we had lovely days out. We challenged ourselves to walk from the cottage to Bronte waterfall and Top Witham, (about 12 mile) what a beautiful walk and our 15/13 year old granddaughters enjoyed it too and said it was much easier than expected once you have done the first hill into Haworth! Haworth itself is obviously a must for the Bronte connection but I found (having our dog with us) the Parsons field just at the rear of the parsonage an absolute delight for the dog or just to sit and recharge. Not forgetting the the Keighley railway of course, we had a day rider ticket and enjoyed another day jumping on and off the trains and visiting each attraction at the stations. As you probably of guessed, as far as we are concerned a perfect cottage, location and a wonderful week for me, my husband and grandchildren. We can't thank the owners enough for the hospitality!

"Greenfield cottage exceeded all our expectations!"
The host’s have thought of everything! A lovely welcome basket full of treats, fresh flowers and lots flyers/information on things to do. The children loved the top floor playroom and we all loved eating meals in the cozy kitchen. When we were not spending time in the gorgeous cottage, we were out exploring the local area! There was so much to see and do! Highly recommend Greenfield cottage and we will most definitely be visiting again.
-
"Absolutely stunning cottage and just felt so homely."
There is nothing the owners hadn’t thought about. The beds were super comfortable too meaning sound sleeps all round. Thanks also for the lovely welcome pack and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. Beautiful kitchen to cook in but also plenty options for take away delivery too. We enjoyed our walks to Brontë Falls and visit to York and a must is the village of Haworth where we had a lovely lunch. Perfect house for pets too… looking to return again soon in cooler climates to use the log burner!! I’m fact we just didn’t want to leave!!
-
"Had a magical week stay."
Such a lovely village with so much to do close by. Beautiful cottage, extremely well equipped, and spotless clean. Little boy was in heaven with his own snug and an array of toys/games. Above anything we expected. Didn't want to leave.
-
"The cottage is absolutely beautiful."
We live in a remote part of Lincolnshire so are not used to the noise of passing traffic.
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights in Greenfield Cottage and would recommend and also stay again, no question."
It is very well located for accessing the local attractions and was a beautiful and comfortable cottage with lots of character. We used the local taxi firm when we didn't want to drive and they arrived every time within 2-3 mins - £4.50 to Haworth. Thanks to our host for the welcome pack and the personal touches such as fresh flowers.
-
"This is a perfect cottage to explore the Dales from, clean, warm, everything you could ask for."

"Wonderful place to stay, kitted out with everything you need and perfectly located to visit Haworth and the surrounding areas."

-
"Lovely cottage."
We have stayed in several cottages and this was our favourite for many reasons. We love Yorkshire and found it convenient for travelling and walking to some of our many favourite areas. Alison was most helpful and the convenience of having a wood delivery much appreciated. No doubt will be back in the future.
-
"We had a lovely long weekend at Greenfield Cottage, a last minute getaway."
So close to Haworth and within a few minutes drive of some amazing pub/restaurants - it's a great base to explore Bronte Country. The cottage was clean, well equipped and more importantly, VERY comfortable. The sofa's were comfy but the bed - one of the best! I don't say that lightly as we only tend to holiday in the UK as we adore our dogs. It's also very dog friendly and the welcome pack was really special. So thank you to Alison and family - can't wait to return in the future.
-
"Wonderful stay at this delightful cottage."
Extremely well equipped, very comfortable, great communication from hosts. Highly recommend a stay here and hope we can return soon.
-
"What a stunning property and such a warm welcome - the host ensured they knew the time we were arriving and made sure the heating was on, it was a toasty arrival."
The welcome box with fresh scones and prosecco in the fridge chilling was a lovely touch. It is obvious that this was a beautiful family home previously and none of that attention to detail has been lost now it is a holiday let....lots of lovely touches making it a home from home for us. We ill certainly be back.

"Our stay from start to finish was perfect!"
The cottage was so comfortable and had everything we needed, it really did become our home for the week and we wish we could have stayed for longer! We were welcomed with a lovely hamper containing tea, coffee, dog treats and freshly baked scones. The board games, fairy lights and fire ensured we could have relaxing rainy nights in and the beds are so comfortable! The location is lovely, we were spoilt for choice by the amount of walks and towns to visit! We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you for having us!
-
"Fantastic cottage!"
Clean, homely, modern furnishings in a beautiful traditional style. We were greeted with fresh scones, jam, milk, and even a bottle of bubbly! Everything's on your doorstep: Haworth, amazing walks, the steam railway and much more. The kids' room and play area upstairs is a fantastic feature. Thanks so much for having us X

"Lovely comfortable cottage, a great base for exploring Bronte country, and the Yorkshire Dales"
-
"Beautiful cottage loads of space to relax and extremely comfortable beds… went as a couple but would be ideal for a family."
. Welcome pack on arrival which was a nice touch, even some treats for the dog.
-
"Fantastic house, very well equipped."
My family were very happy and the thoughtful welcome basket and the toys that were available were very much appreciated.
-
"A beautiful stylish house."
Extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Lovely welcome pack for us and treats for the dogs. My granddaughter loved the games in the loft room. Very close to Haworth and just a short drive from lots of things to do. The Golden Fleece is literally 5 minutes walk and is very friendly with great home cooked food. One thing to note is that there isn’t a garden as stated in the description. The outside space is just the small patio at the front of the property. Our big dog could jump onto the wall and the little one could squeeze through the gate so we kept them on their leads. We would definitely go back to this property though as soon as possible.
Thank you for your feedback we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have dog proofed the gate so no dogs will escape. Property Owner

"Need to replace the double mattress which sagged due to our different weights."
Sitting on the edge to put on socks not possible- edges sagged too. Clients should be able to set the heating thermostat. 10.30- 22.30 hrs did not suit us. It was 13 o C when we got up at 6.30 ! We had to wrap ourselves in duvets and blankets ( provided) weather was unseasonably cold and wet. Wood for the fire was damp, smoked and gave no heat. Note needed to disposed of recycling and other rubbish as no outside bins were provided. The only good feature of the cottage was the charming decor. Lack of a downstairs loo and steep stairs were also a problem for us but for our youngsters not a problem. We would not stay here again but have learnt from the experience. Phoning 48 hrs in advance would not have helped as its only on the spot help that was needed.
Thank you for your recent feedback we are truly sorry you didn’t reach out to us our contact numbers are in the guest book we are on call 24/7 and live very close by we would of been happy to help with any issues at all to make your stay enjoyable Property Owner

About the location
OAKWORTH
Haworth 1 mile; Skipton 10 miles.
Oakworth is a small Pennine village just a short drive from Haworth, overlooking the Worth Valley, made famous by the filming of the classic 1970 film version of E.E. Nesbitt's novel, The Railway Children. Besides its close proximity to Haworth and the moors, Oakworth has an attractive ornamental park, and is within easy reach of the town of Keighley. Nearby Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were much-inspired by the surrounding moorland. Haworth has a myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, and all this against a backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, makes a lovely day out, with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area is full of popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate, and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
This property offers the following short breaks:
