The property

Kirk Yett Cottage is a pleasing semi-detached cottage in Linton Falls, North Yorkshire.

Overlooking the river this pet-friendly abode boasts a toasty woodburning stove, a dishwasher, and has garden with blissful views overlooking the river, making it a lovely base for families or friends wanting a countryside escape in Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Pull up outside this picturesque cottage, with its charming stone exterior and pretty plants.

Enter the charming sitting room with dark exposed beams, sofas and a warming woodburning stove set in the fireplace.

Throw a log on the fire as you enjoy a cosy movie night in.

When hunger calls the stylish kitchen/diner is available to whip up a family feast to enjoy at the dining table set for five, all whilst the dishwasher takes care of any mess left behind.

As the day draws to a close, ascend the stairs to find three neatly presented bedrooms, two doubles and a single room, ideal for families and friends.

To freshen up in the morning utilise the shower facilities in the bathroom, if you need a relaxing soak, pour some bubble bath and take a dip in the sleek corner bath.

At the rear is an enclosed garden with a patio, table and chairs, to enjoy dining alfresco, and for a tranquil view unlock the gate to lower garden fronting the river with a deck overlooking the river, there are further views of waterfalls and the stunning countryside.

Being located in Yorkshire Dales National Park means there is plenty of natural beauty to see, visit the various market towns with quaint shops and picturesque cafes, enjoy the stunning scenery of the moors with the company of sheep on some of your walks.

The Fountaine Inn in Linton is only a 15 minute walk away.

In Grassington, you can find The Devonshire, Black Horse and The Forester's Arms, again only a 15 minute walk from the cottage.

Enjoy some afternoon tea on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway - (Bolton Abbey Station), if you visit during the winter months you may experience the Polar Express experience with Santa making an appearance.

Thornton Hall Country Park is a great place for families with children, ride on the quad bikes through the farm or if you want to ride in style opt for a pony ride, there are little lambs to feed and calves, this place will provide lasting memories for your family.

Linton Falls

Linton 0.6 miles; Grassington 1 mile; Harrogate 24 miles

Linton Falls is a small community and as the name suggest is right next to the spectacular Linton Falls waterfalls, which are seldom out of earshot. Linton Falls is midway and a short (10minute) walk from the charming villages of Linton and Grassington with all their facilities. This is a superb area for walking and cycling, with many well-maintained paths and bridleway to other villages, and access on to the fells and moors. Along quiet roads, you can easy reach the haunting Abbey ruins and Priory at Bolton Abbey, or the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden, with spectacular limestone scenery. Linton Falls is a great base for exploring the local area with the market town of Skipton and its medieval castle a short drive away, and many other historic places including Bronte Country, Castle Howard, the elegant spa town of Harrogate, racing at Ripon and the majestic medieval city of York within easy motoring distance. Nearby Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Traditional stone cottages and shops are clustered around the cobbled market place, offering exceptional shopping facilities for a village of this size. Both Linton and Grassington have several excellent pubs. Grassington hosts a music and cultural festival in June a 1940’s weekend in September and two Dickensian themed weekend in December as well as a monthly farmer’s market offering a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce.
