  • "Wonderful place to stay!"

Fantastic location, 20 minutes walk into Grassington. Amazing facilities Great comfort Couldn't ask for anything more! Everything was of a super high standard, even the free supply of milk, coffees, teas, hot chocolate etc. Big American style fridge/freezer with ice & water dispenser was great. Highly reccomend this place

  • "This is our 2nd stay at this property and it was even better than we remembered."

Every small detail is attended to and we enjoyed the homemade brownies. Even down to the quality of the tea, coffee and toiletries, everything is thought through. We love the fact that each room is big and has its own lovely en-suite. Beds are really comfortable. Kitchen is really well-equipped and large dining table and sofa meant that we could just enjoy our family gathering. The area is lovely and some of our party enjoyed the local pub and a local walk. We have booked for a 3rd time in less than 9 months! Thank-you!

Thanks again for your super review. Looking forward to welcoming you all back soon ☺️ Property Owner

  • "We are a family of 10 ie, myself and my wife, our daughters, their husbands and our 4 young grandchildren."

We have been having family weekends away for the past 8 years and we all agreed that Linton Laithe is about the cleanest we have stayed in. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery and crockery and well laid out and there is more than enough seating for everyone. The lounge is large and again has plenty of seating for all to sit comfortably. There are five bedrooms each with an ensuite. These have all been furbished to a very high standard and some also have their own seating areas. The building was evidently originally a large stone barn but has been very imaginatively converted to its present layout. All the rooms and the hallway are large giving it a very opulent feel and the main staircase is a very imposing feature. In spite of the size the accommodation has a very homely feel. There is a very homely pub, the Fountains Inn, literally two minutes walk away and several other pubs locally ie the Gamekeepers Inn, Threshfield and the Red Lion Burnsall, serving food to a very high standard. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner, Clare who was lovely and had left us a delicious Victoria sponge cake for our arrival. We were sorry to leave!

Everything was spotless and well stocked with anything and everything you could need. Prior to the stay, the information given was clear and concise so we knew what to bring and what wasn’t necessary. The bedrooms were all great with their own en-suites and we particularly loved the small touches such as little sheep decor and the robes, to name just a couple. We are already talking about rebooking for next year! Thank you for a fabulous stay, you’re fantastic hosts and hopefully we will be back again soon! X

It is spacious and really well equipped. Both Sykes Cottages and the owner kept us really well informed and were very easy to communicate with. The setting is idyllic, just by the village green and the river. The local pub (The Fountaine Inn) is excellent and serves really good food. You can literally walk out of the door for great walks to Burnsall or Grassington. We will certainly be back

  • "Excellent cottage in a fantastic location!"

The cottage was great for a family get together. The five en-suite bedrooms easily accommodated 8 adults, 1 child, 3 toddlers and a dog! There was everything we needed in the cottage. The kitchen was particularly well equipped. Claire, the owner, emailed a few days before our visit with a detailed breakdown of what was included in the cottage down to the little things such as tin foil, washing up liquid, coffee maker, coffee and tea, which helped when arranging an online shopping delivery. On arriving at the cottage we found our online shop had arrived early. Claire had been great about it. She has let the delivery driver make the delivery and had started unpacking the shopping and put chilled and frozen items in the fridge and freezer, which was very kind and helpful for us! The views around the cottage are stunning and made for a very relaxing break! It’s a 2 minute walk down to the village green where our grandchildren had a great time playing by the side of the river. Having the local pub on the village green was also a bonus for a quick drink! And the food was very good too. The cottage’s position is ideal for visiting other places in the beautiful Yorkshire dales too. We have stayed in several cottages in the past and this is definitely top of our list of favourites!!

Thank you for your great feedback and we are delighted we are up there in your favourites. Property Owner

Threshfield is a thriving local community. A few minutes drive is Grassington, one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where you will find traditional stone cottages, galleries, restaurants and shops, which are clustered around the cobbled market place, plus a monthly farmers' market provides a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce.
