The property

A delightful stone-built terraced cottage, situated on the banks of the River Wharfe just outside Linton, one of the prettiest villages in the Dales.

Fully restored to an exceptionally high standard, this Linton cottage provides a first-class holiday retreat in a beautiful location and is just 400 yards from Linton's 12th century church.

This Linton cottage has been completely refurbished to provide an open plan living area with a fabulous three-sided woodburning stove as the central attraction, a beautiful designer kitchen and a cosy sitting area all complemented with stylish fixtures and fittings including oak flooring and modern contemporary furnishings.

Upstairs, the two spacious bedrooms boast cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, super king-size beds and contemporary en-suite facilities.

The balcony area overlooks the falls and the River Wharfe as it weaves its majestic way through the Dales countryside.

Combine the facilities with the exposed beams, stonework and the lovely bi-fold windows overlooking the river and visitors have a Linton cottage of considerable merit.

Outside this delightful Linton cottage, there is a large timber decked area, with views over the River Wharfe and Linton falls - the perfect place to relax and unwind in the summer sun.

Centrally located in this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there are lovely walks from the doorstep, including a ten minute walk over the bridge at Linton Falls to popular Grassington with its wide range of shops, pubs and art galleries, summer festival and Dickensian Festival, which delights visitors with its traditional Christmas market and entertainment.

A beautiful Linton holiday cottage, ideal for a romantic break or sharing with friends.

Where you’ll be staying

LINTON

Skipton 8 miles; Grassington 3 miles.

Linton is one of the most outstanding villages in the upper Wharfedale community. The ancient Linton Beck flows through the village crossed by packhorse bridges, stepping-stones and fords. The stone houses clustered around the central green date from the 17th and 18th Century, and at the head of this village stands an architectural masterpiece, the Fountaine Hospital, founded in 1721. The village is served by the Fountaine Inn, with a wide reputation for outstanding beers and food, and its welcoming atmosphere. Close to Linton Falls on the River Wharfe, this is a superb walking area, with many paths to other villages, and easy access to the limestone fells. Down dale is the haunting Abbey ruins and Priory at Bolton Abbey, or the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden, with spectacular limestone scenery. Linton is a great base for exploring the local area with the market town of Skipton and its medieval castle a short drive away, and many other historic places including Bronte Country, Castle Howard, the elegant spa town of Harrogate, racing at Ripon and the majestic medieval city of York within easy motoring distance.
