"We arrived at the cottage and were welcomed by the friendly owner, Rachel, who had baked us some delicious ginger biscuits."

The cottage was very spacious for two people and had the bonus of a utility room (where you enter the property through) which is great to store your muddy boots and gear. The bathroom has the bonus of a bath and shower, and the bedroom has enough storage to unpack your cases fully. The lounge and kitchen are open plan- again plenty big enough, although we would have liked more kitchen utensils (pots and pans) to cook with. For those wanting access to WiFi please be aware that the signal in this area is poor and we could not access the Internet most of the time. The location of the cottage is perfect for those wish to explore the surrounding countryside or who need an easy commute to Warley, Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall or Halifax town. It may be worth noting that the drive to the cottage involves a few steep hairpin lanes which are not for the inexperienced driver. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cottage. Rachel was very welcoming and always available to answer any questions. There is also parking at the property.

The cottage is fantastic and spotless from top to bottom, very quiet area and an excellent destination for all. 2 of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I’d highly recommend a stay here
