"Very well-appointed little cottage that was ideal for the two of us."
Owners live next door and Debbie was knocking on the door not long after we arrived to check that everything was OK and we knew where things were. Was a nice touch with a welcome pack being left.....bottle of red wine, biscuits, tea bags, box of eggs (from owners' hens). Decca Cottage is situated in a quiet little village, a couple of miles off the A59, that is convenient for York, Knaresborough & Harrogate. Can't fault the experience.

"I wish we had booked for longer!"
Firstly the weather was AMAZING!
Beautifully presented throughout with high spec fixtures and fittings.
Attention to detail. Everything you need for a comfortable stay with an excellent view across the field to where a horse was grazing we were joined by inquisitive chickens and resident dogs Betty & Fred. Our host Debbie was warm and welcoming and her Cottage is a credit to her & Kevin.
We will definitely return as we didn’t get to see the other museums and so many shops we just didn’t have time to visit.

"A beautifully maintained property ideal for a couple."
The setting should be considered as peaceful and quiet for those preferring not to be distributed.
On the edge of farm land with livestock, a walker's heaven but also an ideal spot for touring and visiting places if interest.

The accommodation was finished to a high standard, exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Lots of things to do locally or further afield, from country walks and outdoor activities to city centre attractions. The owners Debbie and Kevin were welcoming and seemed to genuinely want you to enjoy your stay, without being intrusive.
