  • "Fantastic location beautiful house We had a fabulous time x"

  • "Wow what a week!"

We had our wedding blessing here celebrating with 40 of our family & friends. The chapel is ideal for this kind of celebration and is beautiful! We used the gym as a disco room and was ideal. We had everything we needed. Beautifully furnished. Bedrooms were big and beds comfortable. Spectacular views. A stunning property! We made very special memories here which we will never forget! We did have a slight problem with one of the hot tubs as it wasn’t getting up to temperature but Hayley was sufficient in getting a maintenance team out the same day. Thank you so much! Hopefully we’ll be back for another celebration!!

  • "The property served the group of 42 of us really well and we all had an amazing time."

Plenty of space and things to do, such as the cinema room, bar area, kitchen and dining area, the two hot tubs, the practice golf area and not to mention the local walks. However, bit disappointed that we had to set out the table and chairs for the whole group upon arrival when told that would be done for us, the large industrial rubbish bins were over flowing outside when we arrived (Sunday) so I immediately informed the owner and was assured that they would be emptied on the Tuesday however they weren’t, so as you can imagine by the time we left on the Friday the pile of rubbish was unsightly and smelly, the oven doors didn’t close properly and so cooking times are massively increased, the hot tubs were not cleaned despite being told they would be checked daily, there were nowhere near enough wine glasses so we rented over 40 from a local wine shop, some of the showers lacked heat and power, not all the bedrooms had TV remotes to operate the TV’s, some of the table lamps around the property didn’t work (yes we checked different plug sockets and changed light bulbs) and some of the windows in the bedrooms had to be wedged with cardboard to seal up the gaps and stop the wind howling through. That said, if you are looking for a property that can accommodate large groups/families, that love the outdoors, that love entertaining, cooking and socialising then this place is just great. It was just the long list of minor issues which have prevented me giving it 5 stars. Would I recommend this place to others? YES Would I go back there again? YES I would just hope that these minor issues would have been addressed.

  • "We stayed at Myddleton Grange in November 2024, a big group of 38 friends, all adults, who wanted to enjoy a nice holiday together, having done so in previous years at a different venue."

Myddleton Grange was a marked improvement for us, at only a small increase in cost, it was lovely! Everything was very well kept, clean and tidy throughout, and the Gift Basket on our arrival was a nice touch. We loved the two hot tubs and the sauna, they were used frequently every day. When we noticed the water level had dropped we were given quick instructions with how to fill them up with hot water so we did not have to wait for them to get back up to temperature.

  • "Great accommodation for a big party, plenty of bedrooms for everyone."

Stunning views over Ilkley. The facilities are great, fully equipped kitchen, except for one of the dishwashers, which was broken which we could have done with having the use with a party of 24. Plenty of fridges. The lift was also not working, which would have been ideal for the elderly guests, great shame! The children (aged 3) absolutely loved the play room and the craft room. The beds were comfortable in the en suite bedrooms, some stunning bedrooms. Bar was great with fully size snooker and pool table. Really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking out at the views.

  • "We recently stayed at this beautiful holiday mansion, and it exceeded our expectations in so many ways."

The property is absolutely stunning—spacious, well-designed, and maintained to a high standard. The decor was elegant yet comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. The bedrooms were large and beautifully appointed, each with its own unique charm. The living areas were perfect for both relaxing and entertaining, with plenty of space for our group to spread out. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to easily prepare meals, and we particularly enjoyed the large dining area for our family dinners. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor space. The back gardens were beautifully landscaped, providing a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The additional amenities, like hot tubs, the game (snooker) room , play room, were a huge hit with everyone, especially the kids. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the Wi-Fi signal, which was a bit weak in some parts of the house. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, we had a luxurious and memorable experience at this mansion. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway, and we would love to return in the future. Thank you to the hosts for providing such a wonderful property for our holiday!

  • "This was the best staycation I have been to."

The group was huge but we didn’t feel crowded because of the space. The place is huge and beautiful. We will come back again. Highly recommend.

  • "We had a fantastic time, what a great location and the views are amazing."

On the whole extremely well equipped. The games room was fabulous for the whole family. Really brilliant to have the craft room for some of our children. The cinema great bonus. Lovely dining room /lounge. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room. Comfortable bedrooms, king and family rooms great spaces. We managed with travel cots as the babies were under 1, had they been a few months older might have needed larger cots. Children that need monitoring parents need to provide wi fi monitors to get full range of property. Would benefit from ice in bar.

  • "The photos do not do this place justice !"

It’s an amazing place and I highly recommend it. We had some caterers in doing a hog roast one day and they had loads of space outside to set up and cook.

  • "An excellent venue for our family get-together, so much so that we have reserved Myddelton Grange for at least the next two years."

A few small issues, especially in the kitchen where the ovens were quite difficult to control.

  • "We stayed at Myddleton Grange over the Easter week 2024."

It was a multi - generational family holiday ranging in age from four years old up to an eighty seven year old. All ages & interests were catered for whether it be relaxing in the hot tub, playing snooker in the games room or watching films in the cinema room, the pop corn machine was a huge hit !The younger children loved the well equipped craft room and the playroom. Despite some bad weather there was plenty to entertain the children & adults at Myddleton Grange . Everybody had a wonderful time & we would highly recommend a stay at Myddleton Grange set in the stunning Yorkshire Dale's. Hayley was extremely helpful with any requests prior to our visit. Feedback for property owner There were a few minor issues 1. The basket ball ring in gym fell off of the wall, despite a maintenance man coming to fix, it promptly fell off when a ball hit the ring. 2. The star gazer machines did not work, we tried all four & tried inserting new batteries in to the remote but none of the machines worked. 3. Room 10 has a constantly dripping shower, there is mould on the ceiling in the wet room and an open tin of paint was also found in there. 4. Room 19 the shower door kept coming off the runners. 5. Room 7 there is a horrible odour possibly from the drains. Although we were not at full capacity , there were 25 of us , we did at times struggle with fitting everything in to the two fridges in the kitchen.

About the location

ILKLEY

Bolton Abbey 5 miles; Skipton 9 miles.

The old Spa town of Ilkley is the pivotal town of Wharfedale, undoubtedly the most popular of all the Yorkshire Dales. The area offers some of the most spectacular and unspoilt scenery in the land. For the walker it gives unrivalled tramping ground. High up on the moors next to the white-walled cottage of White Wells (where once donkeys carried gout-ridden gentlemen to be doused in the icy-cold moorland spring) visitors will see a carefully landscaped Victorian scene including two semi-artificial lakes and the river Wharfe meandering through the centre of the town. Ilkley still has a Victorian and Edwardian feel to it. Splendid shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés adorn the tree-lined streets. Bettys, without doubt the finest tea shop in Yorkshire, and therefore the world, is situated on The Grove. Lovely parkland, a choice of open air or indoor swimming pools and a family picnic area providing pleasure for all. It is the starting point of the 84 mile-long 'Dales Way' walk, which is breathtakingly beautiful! Nearby Bolton Abbey is one of the region's most scenic areas and the walk along the river to the 'Strid' is a must. Ilkley Moor is the subject of Yorkshire's unofficial anthem “On Ilkla Moor Baht at”.
