Generously provisioned with essentials in a very well converted barn in a great part of country with excellent walks, scenic villages , lively towns and even two great pubs close by which both served terrific food. Owners lived close by and always available to help if needed but respected privacy.

High level toilet was great for us, we brought our own safety mat for shower cubicle, somewhere to put shampoo etc in shower cubicle would be helpful. Good kitchen facilities, except fridge - door seemed to stick/bang shut & fridge not very cold. Overall great place to stay.

Plenty of things to do in the area and very close to facilities but still rural and peaceful. Very friendly hosts and lovely treats and fruit for us on arrival. Our only suggestion would be a socket near the mirror for a hairdryer. Thank you for a lovely break.

The cottage is well-placed to see Halifax, Bradford, Saltaire, Leeds, Hebden Bridge etc. and there are lovely walks eg. Hewenden Viaduct. We were very pleased with the accommodation - it had everything we needed. Before arriving, we'd planned to eat out most nights, but the cottage was so nice, we stayed in!

  • "The location was excellent for our needs."

The accomodation was well equipped to a high standard and very clean. The owners were helpful in the storage of our bikes. However the extensive westward facing glazing coupled with no provision for ventilation other than the doors made sleep difficult, which increased as the week developed. This led us leaving at 6.00 am on the final day to seek sleep at home. Regretfully we would not rebook

  • "We had a really lovely stay last week."

The property is very very clean and well looked after. It's obvious that a lot of effort goes in to maintaining the cottage to a high standard. It's is the best self catering property we have ever stayed at and I don't usually give feedback but I'm very impressed with The Barn and we will definitely stay here again next time we're staying in the area. Oh, the horses walking by and in the field across was lovely to watch too!

  • "Our holiday cottage was superbly located, both for enjoying the local countryside and visiting towns and villages nearby."

The family who owned the cottage were outstanding hosts - the breakfast bar was decked with fresh roses, eggs, freshly baked cup cakes and much more. We were made aware of things to watch out for, including deer which we saw on our last night. We will definitely return.
