  • "This was our second visit to Bridge End."

The house is spotlessly clean and in an ideal location, just a short walk from Skipton Town Centre and local amenities. We will definitely be returning.

Great to hear you enjoyed Bridge End so much and thanks Simon for taking time to leave your review. Look forward to welcoming you sometime in the future Best wishes Property Owner

  • "Amazing home."

the area is perfect for walking and dinning out if thats the kind of evening you like. cannal is right out side your front window where the hollidaymaker gives you a laught trying to control the boats , cons ,, dirty bedside tables very thick of dust must not of been wiped for a long time.. when i striped the bed there is a huge human body stain of pee where if i had seen it going in i would of not slept on the mattress that is the down fall, kitcken benches could do with a good degreese. Parking is not that easy as shopworkers and office workers use the road for free parking, so you can only get parked after 5 if you go out sight seeing , yes i would stay here again but with the mattress replaced.. many thanks

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased to hear that you are enjoyed your stay at Bridge End, Skipton is a lovely area to go walking and we have great restaurants and pubs. We are very sorry to hear that are usual cleaning standards were not up to scratch during your stay, if you had made us aware we would have been more than happy to attend and resolve any issues you had. • "Comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated."

Very well equipped. Super position overlooking the canal. Lots of walking along the canal path. However, as older people, we did find the stairs difficult - they had a turn at the bottom end with no safety rail, and there was no safety rail in the shower either. ( I did leave a note for the owner mentioning this). Otherwise everything was fine, and a new smart TV too!

  • "We have just spent 3 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend on 24th May and found the property very clean and comfortable with a great location."

It was lovely relaxing in the living room watching the narrow boats move along the canal. Only minor negative is that the cottage is advertised as having a dish washer, unfortunately it doesn’t. Regardless of not having a dish washer, we would still recommend the property.

  • "We should have been contacted re key collection thus did not happen and we had to contact you."

When we arrived the TV did not work we tried several times to contact the owner by phone and e mail to no avail we then contacted you. I did not need all this hassle on a three night break. The owner came over and said thst they had had the same problem before and probably needed a new television. If a property is let then all the facilities should be working. Not very satisfactory.

Our guests are contacted in the 48 hours before their visit, thank you for contacting us before we contacted you. Once again sorry about the problem with the TV caused by the storm and glad it worked fine once reset Property Owner

About the location

SKIPTON

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
