  • "The spiral staircase is a bit of a challenge."

Bedroom space is limited in the roof space. Otherwise it was all OK.

Thanks for taking time to leave your review and good to hear everything at Moor View was ok for you Property Owner

  • "Great property."

. location excellent. Off street parking was a bonus. Older people might find the spiral staircase a little tricky as the bedroom and toilet are on different levels. Would have liked more coat hangers due to lack of any drawer space. Otherwise, a great stay.

Thanks Linda for your positive & constructive review of Moor View Property Owner

  • "Lovely flat with a fabulous view over the canal, very handy for Skipton town centre and the station which allowed for a number of car-free days out."

A couple of very small points - the WiFi code on the little board is wrong (a letter is capitalised which should be lower case) and although the correct code is in the information folder this did cause some confusion. Also, Andy very kindly phoned me to give details of the code for the key safe but because we both had poor signals I misheard one digit and wrote down the wrong number, which Andy didn't pick up despite me repeating the number back to him. A phone call is a lovely personal touch but perhaps it would be helpul to follow up with a text with the code, to avoid confusion.

Thanks for your feedback Sadie and apologies for the mix up! Glad you enjoyed your stay in Moor View and Skipton. Thanks again. Andy Property Owner

  • "Home from home."

Extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-equipped accommodation. The mattress was so comfortable we both slept very well. Off street parking was a plus. Ideal location, a short walk along the canal path to the town centre and close to lots of other interesting places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moor View.

  • "Great location."

Easy walking distance to the centre. Off street parking was great. Lovely view of the canal. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, more than large enough for two people, shower was hot and powerful. Bed was comfortable and there was enough headroom despite it being on a mezzanine. The only negative which wasn’t really a problem for us was the stairs up to the apartment and the spiral stairs to the bedroom. That could be tricky for any older visitors.

Many thanks for your kind review of Moor View Dave and really glad you enjoyed it as well as the location. Thanks again Andy Property Owner

  • "The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped."

It is in an ideal location for many amenities in Skipton. It is very clean and welcoming. The spiral stairs to the sleeping area could be challenging to anyone unsteady on their feet and the headroom in the sleeping area is restricted.

About the location

SKIPTON

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
