  • "Everything was fine, it was warm and comfortable with great views."

    A really nice property, with lots of wildlife in the area. We saw a pheasant in the garden and quite a few red kites flying overhead. It was well situated for visiting places of interest nearby. The only issue being that the electric fire didn't have a backlight, but worked ok other than that.

SUMMERBRIDGE

Pateley Bridge 3 miles; Grassington 15 miles; Harrogate 8 miles.

A charming Dales village nestling in the steep-sided valley of the River Nidd, just three miles from Pateley Bridge. Summerbridge also has a scattering of dwellings, farms, a local shop, garages, post office, pub and an excellent butcher. Nearby is the market town of Pateley Bridge, offering quaint little alleys and yards off the steep main street, with many interesting shops offering a wide range of unusual gifts and mementos. The town is well-known for its prize-winning floral displays, whilst the leisure centre offers splendid sports facilities and the riverside park with bandstand and children's play area is not to be missed. Also worth a visit are the town's King Street Workshops and the award winning Nidderdale Museum - a lively collection of displays illustrating all aspects of Dales life in the past. Elegant Harrogate is also well worth a visit. Up and downstream, the Nidd Valley offers excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching.
