"This was a last minute booking and we weren't disappointed!"
This little beauty was hidden and off the round which made it all the more special....parking was not an issue .....a space was always found...and we had 2 cars! Beautiful cottage, beautifully decorated, wonderfully comfortable and in equally wonderful surroundings....the viaduct can be seen from the front bedroom, and its easy to get to with a Brew with a View cafe at the other end.....straight out of a Bronte story! Local shops are good, and here we were central for visiting local attractions within half an hour! And, the neighbours were very friendly too! Definitely on our list for a return visit! Thank you

"Difficult to find property."
Flight of steps down made access more tricky. Noisy neighbours ( young children). Otherwise happy with the cottage.

"Perfect little cottage."
Decor was tasteful, homely and ideal for the style of property. Everything was so well layed out to maximise the space. Facilities were brilliant; absolutely everything we could have needed and more ( never before stayed at a cottage which supplied a slow cooker, hairdryer and straightners!) sofa and beds were all so comfy and the extra cushions and blankets are a lovely touch for getting cozy in the evening. The electric fire was useful to just take chill off the wooden floors early morning and evening - greatly appreciated by my elderly Mum who was with us. The perfect place to stay for all three generations in our family party of three. Would definately recommend this cottage and will be booking to stay again.

"A superb little cottage."
So warm, welcoming and restful. Nothing was lacking. Pleasent outdoor seating area. Intrigued by the back to back houses.

"This is a lovely little cottage."
It is set off the road and sits within a row of similar properties. There are a table and chairs out front. This is a peaceful setting. Thornton is a nice little village with a sprinkling of pubs, a co-op, and a short walk to some very scenic walks, such as the local viaduct. Thoroughly recommended for a short break.

"Was rather disappointed to find that when we stripped the beds on the last day, to find very visable urine stains on the mattress cover!"
Would also have liked a hair dryer and a clothes dryer in the cottage. Other than this, we were delighted with our stay in Mischa Cottage.
Can I just assure you that it wasn’t urine stains, unless it was yours? We have bed bug protectors under the mattress protectors, that are a bit plasticy, if you put a damp towel on the bed it causes staining. We change the top mattress cover every time. I hope this put your mind at ease. Like you wrote in the guest book how spotless the cottage was, why would we leave urine marks on the mattress protector!! Property Owner

would definitely recommend.

"Lovely, comfortable cottage, so well equipped."
Tucked away in a quiet little spot, but so close to local amenities and the wider attractions of West Yorkshire. Friendly and helpful hosts and the welcome pack a lovely unexpected touch.

"Wonderful place"

"A beautiful cottage and lovely immediate location."
It was like being in a little slice of heaven. We probably wouldnt stay again because its not really suitable for dogs as it has a shared garden. The locals are very friendly and there was everything in the cottage that you needed.
-
"Such a lovely and peaceful location."
So close to the local facilities and with secluded shared garden the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The neighbours are so friendly and welcoming, and that helped make the stay special (we all had a powercut for a short while late evening and one lady came and knocked on the door with tea-lights for us - it's that sort of place).

"The property was as listed and was nice and clean on arrival with a lovely welcome pack."
The living area was nice and comfortable and the kitchen area was practical with everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent and the beds were comfortable. On arrival the cottage was a little difficult to locate but being a former boy scout I managed ok although there was contact details available. Overall a great three day break and would recommend.

"Lovely home, super cosy and everything you need!"
Very close to lovely walks also! Would highly recommend

"Lovely cottage which was very well equipped with everything we needed."
Lovely welcome pack which is as appreciated and enjoyed . The property is quite a challenge to find , but once we got there we were very pleased with our booking. Slight problem with the fridge which seemed to freeze what we put in there but this was a minor issue and we were very pleased with the cottage. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again

"The cottage was poorly lighted, a number of the lamps did not work and there was a low chandelier directly over the main sitting area which needed to be avoided."
There were no spare bulbs or batteries at the property. The in-built cooker was obviously quite old, so much so that the markings indicating the temperature settings and oven settings were no longer readable, so made it very difficult to use the oven properly. A number of the baking sheets were dirty and could not have been checked before we arrived. The shower constantly dripped 24/7 and sounded very loud at night making it difficult to ignore when trying to sleep. The mattress cover on the double bed sported a large stain, which was there prior to our stay and should have been replaced before we arrived. The walls seemed paper thin and we could hear a lot of noises from the neighbouring properties. It would have been helpful if there was information at the cottage about recycling, it was difficult to know what is recycled locally.

"Lovely cottage with everything we needed for a comfortable stay."
Very friendly and helpful owner and friendly neighbours. Many thanks

"We would certainly book this cottage again, it was very clean, comfortable and quiet and the owners welcome goodies were much appreciated The neighbours either side were very friendly and nearby is the Great Northern Railway trail for cycling and dog walking."
The only hiccup we thought the write up suggested there was a designated parking space, whereas we just parked in the cul de sac behind the cottage. This wasn't a problem at all but at first we were trying to find the space for that particular cottage.

"A very cosy cottage with super comfy beds and a fabulous shower."
There is a good circular walk from the doorstep to take in the local history and the countryside. In our week we easily travelled to Leeds, Skipton, Ilkley, Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Blackpool. Our hosts were right there to help when we had a small problem. A very good quality cottage.

"Very well presented cottage, lovely views and setting."
Owners were very helpful and the neighbours are lovely. Great base for exploring the Yorkshire countryside.
