"What a stunning little place the is."
If you are looking for comfort, a cosy vibe, peace and quiet then duckstone is ideal. Beds are comfy, it was warm lovely facilities loads of logs for the log burner ( some places are so stingy on this front but not here!) Location is great with loads to do in the area weighing fairly easy driving distance. Nigel is very helpful and made sure we were warm and had what we needed. I would stay again. Thanks so much.
Yvonne thank you so much for your positive feedback it is greatly appreciated, Duckstone Cottage would love to welcome you back sometime. All the best for the New Year and I hope 2025 is a good one for you and your family. Kind regards Nigel Property Owner

About the location
WHIXLEY
Wetherby 9.3 miles; York 13.1 miles; Hawnby 30.2 miles.
The ancient village of Whixley rests between the town of Harrogate to the west and the city of York to the east. Centuries ago, the village was best known for its cherries, which were originally collected to be stored at the Priory of Knaresborough and were eventually sold in places as far as Covent Garden in London. Some houses still existing in the area - Cherry House, Cherry Cottage and Cherry Tree Farm – serve as a reminder of the village’s history. Attractions in the area include The Old Vicarage, The Church of the Ascension, and Whixley Park. Dining options include The Anchor at Whixley, as well as The Victoria Cattal, which is a brief drive outside the village. Within easy reach of the village, you will find the bustling cathedral city of York, where visitors can find the spooky spot of York Dungeon, the cobbled path of the Shambles, and the famous Betty's Café Tea Rooms
