  • "We had a very pleasant week at Sunset Beach."

We enjoyed the closeness to the beach and the wonderful walks, along the shore nearby and further afield in Parkhurst Forest, the nature reserve at Newtown and along the National Trust cliff walks to the south. The house was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. It was useful to have a downstairs bedroom as both my husband and I are less mobile, although the downstairs bedroom seems slighly less well-furnished than the upstairs rooms.

Hello Rachel, we are so pleased you had a lovely time at Sunset Beach the location is fabulous and yes lots of lovely walks around. We have found the bedroom downstairs has been very popular and the reason we have not put a dressing table in is because many guests are in wheelchairs and need the room to turn around, so we just have the clothes rail and chest of drawers. Also many of our guests put their children in there and so have not requested more furniture. We are glad that you had a wonderful time and hope you enjoyed your Friday night celebration. Kind regards Andy and Val Property Owner

  • "Fabulous property with everything a family could need whilst on holiday."

Close to the beach, take care because the path is steep in places.

  • "Sunset Beach is a home away from home."

The accommodation is very beautifully presented. Everything you need is there. Even welcome tea/coffee/sugar/milk and little biscuit packets. If you intend to cook everything you need is there. If you are eating out there are several places nearby. The area of Colwell Bay and Freshwater is on the quieter side of the island. There is a walk down to the beach, however if any of your party use a wheelchair or have walking difficulties, then you may find it a bit difficult to walk to, however you can drive to it from the next turning down. There is much to see on the island and we had fun at Dinosaur Isle where they have dinosaur bones to touch and feel and give little bits of advice. For an extra price (pre bookable) they take you to the beach and help you hunt for fossils which you can take home. It can be expensive to eat out, but there is something for everyone here. Finally, I received an email from the owners giving further info prior to our arrival. We exchanged a few emails and Val was always very helpful. We had a great visit and would definately recommend Sunset Beach .

Thank you so much for your review Kim. We are so pleased you and your family enjoyed Sunset Beach and its wonderful location, it’s important that you feel at home. Glad you had a good visit and thank you for your feedback. You are always welcome back. Kind regards Andy & Val Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week at Sunset Beach Cottage, at Freshwater, Isle of Wight."

The cottage was very clean and tidy, very spacious and comfortable. It had everything you could possibly want. The extra touches made it feel like a home away from home. The location is very nice and quiet, and not too far from the the amazing places we visited. The hosts were welcoming and at the end of a phone if we needed them. We would highly recommend the cottage, and would definitely stay there again.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We hope you will visit us again. Regards Andy and Val Property Owner
