"The adjacent games room was locked up most of the time."
The cottage was a bit dated. Extra power points would be useful, or better still USB points. Outside was dark and a bit dangerous. Some extra low level lighting would be good. There was no instruction on how to get the internet, also the internet was a bit slow and unreliable, this may have been beyond the control of the site owners. The plus points. Despite my comments, the cottage was comfortable and clean and quiet. A good pub is just a short walk away. A small supermarket is a short drive away. The town of Filey is just two miles away. There are numerous beaches close by. There is a lake for fishing on the site. For dog owners there is a fenced off field where the tail waggers can have a run around without escaping.

"The cottages were set in a pretty open courtyard, which was not very good for us as we had a puppy and the listing said it had a patio with furniture but it didn’t."
We had no welcome pack, books, dvds which were also listed. We had 2 quite major problems which were put right by the very nice maintenance man. However the overall cleanliness of the cottage was extremely poor. Food on dirty greasy baking trays in the oven, dead flies on the kitchen blind, the expel air in the bathroom was full with dust and dirt. The cottage needs a thorough updating to the standards we have been used to from using Sykes for the last 6 years. Especially kitchen equipment, leaking kettle, burnt out toaster and the microwave was burnt on the grill part and this kept dropping onto the glass turntable. Little things like door handles and toilet roll holders were put on the wrong way, carpet also coming up. All reported to reception when we left and they did say the cleaning company would be contacted. The staff we had dealings with were very helpful and polite.

"I would like for someone to update the information about ROSE cottage as the listing says, Dvd's, books, welcome information pack."
Non of there are there! Also I found a dog toy under the bed, so that was obviously not hoovered and the protective covers on the sofas I guess are for people with pets, however our booking wasn't with pets so they surely should have been removed. We did as they looked dirty and shabby.
