  • "Everything was brilliant except for the mattress on the double bed there was a big dip and lumpy ."

..also there was a nasty crack in the bedroom window above the bed which we consider to be dangerous if fell in whilst in bed.......but doesn't deter us from holidaying there again we liked the property x

  • "Wonderful location, with amazing views and a really lovely outside space to sit with a cup of tea in the morning or something stronger in the evening."

We only stayed three nights and ate out for two of those, but the kitchen had everything we needed and seemed well stocked for utensils. Very close (easy walking distance) to the Glaslyn Osprey centre - a great place to while away a few hours. We'd definitely stay here again

  • "What a great place!"

We loved the barn, especially the lovely bathroom (what a fabulous big bath). We appreciated all the beautiful natural materials used inside the barn and the wonderful garden - the kids loved scrambling on the rocks and exploring the wilder parts. We even met a joiner in the friendly local pub who had worked on some of the woodwork and were able to complement him on his handiwork. We could have done with a blind in the downstairs bedroom as the moon was so bright one night it woke us up. Drawback of having such clear skies I suppose.

  • "The listing and photos are exactly as described."

The accomodation is very well appointed and well equipped. The bed was lovely and comfortable we slept like babies. We particularly liked the outdoor space. The garden was our idea of perfection not manicured but natural and full of wildlife, and the views and scenery are spectacular. We enjoyed watching the steam train as it passed, whistling every time it crossed the level crossing on the road not far from the entrance to the property. We were very lucky with the weather for our fortnight and managed to eat out in the garden most days and enjoy the tranquility offered from the location. The location is perfect for visiting the many attractions in the area with everything in easy reach. A lovely relaxing holiday in a super cottage/barn conversion. Thank you, we will hopefully return.

  • "On arrival the ‘Eco Barn’ was so easy to find, even in the dark."

What a lovely cottage it is, and in peaceful surroundings too…..we would definitely use again. Lovely and warm(even in early January)….with logs for the fire if needed. The cottage was ideally situated for us to explore Snowdonia. Definitely would use again when stopping in Snowdonia.

  • "Such a lovely week spent at Cornel eco barn."

Everything you need on hand, the grounds around the cottage maintained beautifully. If anyone is looking for a break away, switch off, Go off grid and relax we’d definitely recommend the Eco barn. You would never know there was another barn next to you. We’ll be booking for next year

  • "Great place to stay."

Be good if BBQ was mentioned in f facilities. As I think another review mentioned bigger towels would be great. An outside air dryer for clothes would be good to, and eco friendly

  • "We had no water twice."

Had no contact number only yourselves Menia. If a problem happened when the office was shut you don't have a contact number this happened once. We were told this problem with the Water happens alot. And needs sorting. There was no welcome information. I believe the owner should make a welcome pack with the information in. Giving a contact number, where the WiFi is and other information about the barn. Other than that really enjoyed our stay

  • "We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay in this well fitted out, idyllic cottage."

Everything worked well and both the kitchen and the bathroom were well equipped. We liked the slate floored wet room shower, although it was a little difficult to coax the water to run away.

Renovated using 100% eco-friendly materials, it's the perfect base for walkers, hikers and wildlife-lovers to explore the diverse landscapes of North Wales and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

This property has been built from stone reclaimed from the surrounding land; wood from trees that have fallen naturally; hemp and sheep's wool used as insulation; an 'earthen' floor; air source heat pump.

A unique endeavour to showcase the potential beauty of an 'eco home'.

Make use of the off-road parking to unpack your belongings and be welcomed by the charming picture-book scene of this stone cottage.

Step inside to admire the innovative handy work, with walls made of hemp, floors of recycled slate and a beautiful staircase made out of wood sourced from the nearby woodlands.

Wool insulation and air source heating ensures warmth throughout your stay.

An inviting sitting area hosts quaint decorations and a spacious corner sofa, so start the woodburning stove and sink into the cushions after the day's adventures, whilst you catch up with loved ones or choose a film on the Smart TV.

Don't let the rain and mud put you off your walk, as a handy washing machine is ready to go for a quick clean, whilst the tumble dryer is located in the external utility.

Guests can also use the utility for storing bikes, boots and walking gear.

As the night grows darker, younger guests can climb the stairs to the mezzanine twin room, a lovely spot in the wooden beams overlooking the living area, whilst a bright and airy king-size awaits on the ground floor with an original stone feature wall.
