  • "We were pleased in general with the accommodation but there were 2 issues which I did contact the owner and these were 1 microwave has casing damaged round the main oven inside door was rusty 2 Oven top element hanging down from oven roof These 2 things I deemed unsafe to use so we didn’t ."

Health and safety issue When I messaged owner she did respond immediately saying she would bring their microwave down but we declined offer. Ate meals out. I have photographs of the offending implements. Apart from these issues we enjoyed the stay.

Thank you very much for pointing these issues out. 1. New microwave now in the kitchen. 2. Grill element in top of oven now safely attached. Property Owner

  • "Perfect location in lovely Lockton opposite St."

Giles church, very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Very pretty, comfortable bedrooms, plenty of hot water, nice large TV, felt very at home and was sad to leave! Lots of interesting pictures and artistic touches on display throughout the cottage. The village is very peaceful with easy parking, no double yellow lines! Easy access to lots of places of interest.

Really pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "This our second visit to this accommodation."

It is really cosy with a log burner which we particularly enjoyed with the stormy weather we experienced. The kitchen and dining area are a really good size and the bedrooms are very comfortable. It is a really peaceful location, close to the Moors, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay, as well as Dalby Forest. There is so much to do in the area that we will definitely be back.

  • "Beautiful location and beautiful cottage."

Loved the patio and the garden. Nicely decorated and very homely. Plentiful selection of crockery etc. Our daughter loved her room, especially the zebra bedding! Plenty of storage space and nice fluffy towels. We found the double bed a little bit small for the 2 of us, but the mattress was comfy enough. The shower was a little less powerful than we are used to, but was a lovely deep bath. We really appreciated the off road parking, but was a little tricky to negotiate when the van next door was parked next to us. All in all though we were really happy with the cottage and would definitely recommend it!

This is a gem absolutely fantastic, we could of moved in, the only thing I had a problem with was the metal bed frame it made a right noise in the night if you moved slightly other than that it's is a fantastic place we have booked again, will maybe have to sleep in the spare single room if the bed frame isn't upgraded

Many thanks for your feedback. You had a point when we tried the bed it did squeak. All the nuts and screws were loose, but after tightening them all up, no squeaks. We do apologise for the squeaking, but are very pleased you otherwise enjoyed your stay. Lynne Property Owner

  • "We loved this cottage and it's location."

Only 30mins or less away from everything we wanted to do or visit. Lovely to be able to sit in south facing garden. Would have been better for us to be Saturday to Saturday as only arrived after midnight on Friday. Lots of flies was the only downside... possibly from farm nearby or extreme hot weather during stay.

  • "Lack of information about how to turn the central heating on."

Shower didn't work. Some local information would have been good ie Pubs, takeaways, local walks and places of interest. Cottage was better than expected from photos. Village very quiet.

Thank you for your feedback, which we have taken on board. The heating is controlled via an app which is controlled by myself. The heating is on a timer and I have updated this in the information pack. If anyone wants to alter the heating I have asked them to contact me and will happily do so. The shower does work, and the cord needs to be pulled which turns it on. This is now mentioned in the information pack. I have updated the information pack with pubs, take always and local walks. • "Clean and tidy property."

Excellent location. Parking difficult due to overgrown shrubbery. No welcome pack or instructions for anything so no idea how to work the heating, hot water or TV - initial lack of clarity on hot water was an issue which could be easily rectified for future visitors with instructions left out. Beds clean and tidy but mattresses were basic. Some basic cups and plates all in need of a little TLC. Room with single bed smelled of ... something stuffy. Overall we had a lovely time, but feel the property is in need of a lot of freshening up to bring it up to a higher standard than three star rating we are giving it.
