"For relaxation the place is on point as very quiet."
Some of what I’m about to complain about may sound petty but when you review places you have to put warts and all into it.
When arriving you approach a barrier which you have to get out the car and press the ring doorbell for someone to open it.
Staff seemed friendly enough to check in then You have to pay a deposit for breakages etc £75 and sign sheet, then given a folder of rules and what to do etc .
The park has minimum lighting so when it’s dark it’s dark, you need a torch to walk your dog literally, we had rain (as we do) and areas around the park did get flooded so you definitely need some good footwear.
Lodge was rented as luxury which was good enough to live in but had a feel of an old peoples home.
Cleanliness was not up to scratch as dust on skirting boards, central heating dial and windows hadn’t been cleaned.
Hot tub - on settling into the lodge we had a visit from maintenance to show us how to use the tub which was a good touch if you hadn’t used one before, tub was adequate although the step up to it was not fixed down and made of wooden decking so was really slippy. Didn’t see a maintenance guy at our Hot tub from Friday to Friday to check levels etc, I’ve seen this at other places so would have expected to see someone.
WiFi is very limited, it’s free to connect if you sit outside reception but when you move you are on your own data which again can be intermittent. Tv in lodge living room was adequate, smart tv. Tv in bedroom wasn’t worth turning on as pixelated and buffered a lot so didn’t use it. We noticed you could connect to the lodge WiFi but didn’t have a password which was strange if you were actually staying in there.
The Croft pub on site was a lovely place to eat and drink with the prices suprisingly reasonable, although it wasn’t open everyday and after new year it was closed for 2 weeks for staff holidays which is fair enough but this was not bought to our attention so had to go off site if wanted to eat out or go for a drink.
There is no shop on site even just for essentials, you had to go off site which was about 5 min drive.
It’s the second place I’ve been to in 6months that doesn’t have an onsite shop which I think is very strange..is this the new thing?
There are no dog waste bins around the park only in an exercise area which is not gated off.
Recycling or waste bins were no where to be seen around where we stayed so had to leave rubbish in waste bin around by hot tub ( apparently there are some but a long walk from lodges where we stayed.
Upon leaving they require you to basically put everything back where it belongs and clean as you arrived this included taking all covers off beds and pillowcases and put in bags provided ( I’ve never had to do this when paying a good amount of money to stay somewhere), leave clean yes we always do as that’s in my nature but to strip beds and make sure all is correct no.
When checking out it was a frosty morning and the drive to reception was treacherous and hadn’t been gritted at all, when handed keys there wasn’t much interaction with usual how was your stay, hope you enjoyed it but nothing…
All in all it felt like a place that hadn’t finished areas off and decor in lodges are basic for luxury.
Recycling looked a big issue as no waste bins in sight.
As mentioned at beginning people this is only our feedback as we look for these issues to hopefully give the owners a view from outside and you as possible holiday makers a good insight into holidaying.

It was very comfortable. Nice view outside as well. The occasional duck waddling past.

"Loved our time at the lodge."
Great fishing, nice exercise area for our dog. A nice walk to a lovely pub. Only a couple of criticisms of the lodge would benefit by having a mirror/full length mirror. Only mirrors were in bathroom and it could do with a clothes airer to dry towels ect. Other than that spot on!!

"Lovely lodge bit of dust and a few cobwebs on arrival."
Would suggest some hooks for towels etc on bathroom and bedroom doors, also a bath mat in bath would be good, very slippery almost fell getting out put me off having a bath which spoiled it for me as dislike showers. Well kept grounds. Pity The Croft was closed after Sunday Lunch until Wednesday as was the pub up the road so restricted for eating facilities locally thought would be open as high season. All in all a nice place to chill out.

"The lodge appeared brand new, we wondered if we were its first guests!"
We found it extremely comfortable, very well presented and relaxing. It would have been good to have some coat hooks by the front door and some hooks in the bedroom for robes. Also a full length mirror somewhere would’ve been great. These are very small observations - we had a lovely, relaxing holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the meals at The Croft, swimming in the pool and lounging in the hot tub. Some of the information in the welcome pack and at reception was contradictory so we had to keep checking - eg opening times of the restaurant, menu choices for Steak Night. But overall a very welcome break for us, in great accommodation.

"Went back to the same lodge same park we went to in 2020."
However felt the lodge had not been maintained well in the year since we had been. On entering the property we found the bedroom door did not shut properly and the handle to the utility room was lose the carpet was starting to fray near the french doors and decking was showing wear and a dining chair leg was loose. We also felt the site was starting to get rather busy with more lodges and mobile homes put up and more planned for next year and this has put us off booking for next year as liked the site when it was quiet and views to lake good. My hubby had a heart condition and we are looking for good views and tranquillity which we got in 2020 but this year it didnt feel quite the same for us

However were disappointed that there were cobwebs in the shower, the kitchen floor had not been cleaned with a mop and detergent and both toilet seats did not fit the toilet base. For the price and 5 Star we found this disappointing.

"Cottage and facilities met expectations of information listed for a luxury lodge, however there were quite a few restrictions on use of facilities."
For example, hot tub rules, car access and the cafe was closed, even for takeout snacks (other than ice cream). This didn't actually effect our holiday but worth being clear for others. Also the restaurant opening times and checkout times had conflicting information causing some confusion as what is printed/advertised is not what we were verbally told (after the fact for the checkout which was the only real negative point of the stay as we felt we were rushed out before the printed time).
The welcome prosecco and provided essentials (e.g. dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid, shower gel, hairdryer), over and above what was listed were a pleasant surprise and could help if advertised.
The Croft restaurant deserves a special mention as this was extremely nice. We ate here on numerous occasions during our stay and enjoyed each and every meal - definitely worthwhile visiting but recommend booking.

"We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the lodge also the spa temp had problems at the start but once mentioned within an hour it was fixed and lively to relax after a kind day out walking."
If there is one thing I would change it would be 3 seater settee not a two as we couldn’t lay down together.
Fantastically run food at the restaurant was very tasty and happy staff .

"Park was beautiful peaceful and very well maintained."
Location Idealic but still close to Shrewsbury for facilities. Lodges were to a very high standard. Staff were very welcoming helpful and friendly. Lovely Hot Tub Maintaned on a daily basis. Used most days I stayed. Took my Dog with me and she loved it. Decking around lodge secure for Dog. Small wood around lodges which my dog walked to and secure Exercise Paddock available which I took my dog to in morning and evening for a run around with her ball. Dogs kept on leads in park. Most visitors had dogs. Nice Swimming Pool. Good Fishing Facilities on Private Lakes only available to be used by Park Residents. Lots of Wildlife. Planning to book again.

"Exceptionally bad weather however grounds and car parking space were consistently sodden - this included water collecting in a quite deep puddle right at the bottom of the entry steps so no far to access the lodge without getting feet wet!"
Car parking space is shared with an adjacent lodge and can be quite tight; especially with an inconsiderate resident neighbour who obviously feels they have more entitlement to be there than we did!
The new Croft restaurant one site is lovely; however not being dog friendly on a holiday site which is seems to be a bit of an oversight and a missed opportunity.
Other than that; excellent!

"Lodge was nice, location was peaceful and staff were friendly."
. We were disappointed when we arrived to be given a folder with an extensive list of rules and regulations ,none of which we had previously been made aware off on your website. .Rules included not using the hot tub after dusk, when our visit was in December this seemed very restrictive and visitors being charged parking and having to leave by a certain time, again seemed odd!! Although we enjoyed our visit we would not necessarily return due to all of the needless rules This is an adult only site and we felt that the rules contradicted that.

"Brilliant break away!"
The only thing I can critize is the lack of signs directing you into the park from the village, there's one sign on a lamppost but it's easy to miss and the postcode we received did not take us to the park. However, after a quick look on Google we managed to find out way there. The park is clean, tidy and well maintained. The lodge was immaculate and the hot tub was already turned on and up heat when we arrived. The staff were really friendly and helpful and advised us on some great stuff to do and see while we stayed. The restaurant is small but after reading some rave reviews it didn't not disappoint the Sunday lunch is beautiful and very reasonably priced. I even managed to squeeze a good day's fishing in on a well stocked lake with plenty of fish caught. This park would not suite all audiences, it is adults only and would not suite certain parties such as hen/stag weekends as there is not a lot of night life in the village and the park bar is attached to the restaurant. However, for a nice relaxing break to escape and just relax this is the best Park to go!

"Spent a week at this holiday park from 28th July."
Although the lodge was clean and the parks surroundings were lovely there are too many rules and regulations. It is supposed to be an adults only park yet you were treated like a child. Very disappointed to find no WiFi in the lodge and the housekeeping charge of £75 is extortionist. Owners quite abrupt and not very welcoming. The handbook that was given to you where just full of dos and don’ts and charges for this and that. Would not recommend this site and won’t be returning
