Forest Holidays Woodland Golden Oak cabin is one of a collection of cabins surrounded by oak trees and open meadows in the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley.
Experience a one-of-a-kind break with all the comforts of home, easy dining options and activities and extras that will make it an unforgettable holiday in nature. Step inside this spacious cabin styled in earthy shades of soft fennel and muted greys, complemented by whitewashed oak furniture. Built in harmony with the surrounding forest, this cabin’s great for smaller groups and families, with plenty of space to stretch out – then take in the views with floor to ceiling windows that let the light flood in as you sit back into your comfortable corner sofa. Extra home comforts and a kitchen with all the essentials make it easy for you to relax amongst the forest, the moment you walk through the door – fire up the barbecue on the decking, curl up by the logburner or sit back under clear skies in your very own hot tub. Under a canopy of oak trees, explore the woodland trails and open meadows of Britain's most famous forest - home to Tawny owls, Roe deer and badgers. Venture out to the Wye Valley, conquer the soaring outcrop of Symonds Yat and explore Puzzlewood, or stay on location to try your hand at horse riding, llama trekking and mountain biking.
With the River Wye nearby, jump on the river for kayaking, canoeing and paddle-boarding experiences and enjoy a taste of the authentic local flavour at Silver Circle Distillery, where you can make your own gin. In the forest, book a range of Forest Ranger activities that will help you connect with nature and the forest around you – from Nature Tots for under-5s, to Wildlife Wonders and Survival Skills, for any age. When you book a Forest Holiday you're supporting nature too – they're stewards of 244.5 hectares of forest, managing the land for conservation and creating spaces in nature for people to stay.

FOREST OF DEAN
Explore the woodland trails and open meadows of Britain's most famous forest - home to tawny owls, roe deer and badgers. There’s a canopy of oak trees, which feels like a different world. Venture out to the Wye Valley, conquer the soaring outcrop of Symonds Yat and explore Puzzlewood, or try your hand at canoeing, llama trekking and mountain biking. Symonds Yat straddles the River Wye on the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire borders. The perfect spot for a summer day out, it’s half an hour’s walk through the woods from the Forest of Dean cabin. After watching the peregrines at Symonds Yat Rock, take a riverside walk and then enjoy a hearty meal at the Saracen’s Head Inn. A great way to understand something of the character of the Forest of Dean is to take a whistle stop tour of its four market towns, Cinderford, Cole ford, Lydney, and Newent, each with a different but related history.
