"I have enjoyed going on forest holidays the last two years."
We have visited Delamere Forest, Forest of Dean and Keldy. We are also due to visit a Scotland location next year. I feel like every site has been different in its own way but all have been a way to relax and unwind and feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere. You can make yourself busy with local attractions or on site activities or lock yourself away with you family in a lodge with the hot tub. Having a hot tub is a key part of my staycations and I love that this is a standard addition to forest holidays… I can't wait to do more sites in the coming years.

KELDY FOREST
Keldy Forest is idyllic woodland and sunlit glades. Coast, countryside and moorland are nearby, giving an authentic Yorkshire feel. Hike along the famous Cinder Track, cycle the 'lost' Bransdale Loop or explore the surrounding forest, where the hooting of the nocturnal tawny owl fills the air. Pickering is the closest town to Keldy and along with Ryedale's other towns of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Malton and Norton, it has independent shops, art galleries, excellent restaurants, and a host of festivals and special events. Pickering is also at the end of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line. Catch the steam train to Goathland, where you can step off at Hogsmeade Station from Harry Potter and walk through Aidensfield from TV’s Heartbeat.
