Just show me Gwynedd Cottages

Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages to rent across Gwynedd, Wales.

Enjoy a good helping of Celtic hospitality amid glorious surroundings and try a Gwynedd cottage for your next holiday.

Gwynedd can be roughly split into three areas. The first is northern Snowdonia, a spectacular region of imposing mountains, glacial lakes and forests, bordered by the Menai Strait. For mesmerising views across the National Park, climb Mount Snowdon, on foot or by rail. Follow the well trodden path from Betws-y-Coed to Swallow Falls. Enjoy a nostalgic rail journey by steam on the Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway. Or explore the mighty Caernarfon Castle, where Prince Charles officially became the 'Prince of Wales'.

Next on the list is the Llyn Peninsula, most of which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Leisure pastimes include sailing, surfing, walking, fishing and golf. Just a few of the many things to do include a walk along the coastal path; a beachside pub lunch at Porthdinllaen; a wildlife trip to Bardsey Island; or a wander around Portmeirion's exquisite gardens.

Finally, there's southern Snowdonia - a fantastic choice for outdoor activities, with challenging mountains such as the Rhinogs and Cadair Idris. There are lots of lakes too for those who enjoy fishing and other water sports, while Coed y Brenin Forest is world-renowned for mountain biking. Discover the timeless beauty of the Dyfi and Mawddach estuaries. Enjoy a day at the seaside in Barmouth or Aberdyfi. Or explore the tranquil backwaters of Dolgellau, crammed with listed buildings.

And don't forget a two-centre Gwynedd cottage holiday is another option, combining coast with countryside. As always, the choice is yours!
