Surrounded by towering fells and hills, the small village of Starbotton is a small, tranquil village in the awe-inspiring Wharfedale valley - a spectacular location for a cottage holiday amid the stunning North Yorkshire scenery.

Gloriously secluded, Starbotton is ideal for getting back to nature away from the stresses of the daily grind. Just a stone's throw from the River Wharf, the village sits at the foot of Starbotton Fell and Cam Head; the babbling waters of Cam Gill Beck wind their way down from the moors above through an enchanting dell, flanked by these two giants. Set within such a dramatic landscape, it's no wonder the village is so popular with walkers. Although the views from above the village are superb, the most spectacular vistas are to be found atop Buckden Pike, which is accessible from the village. Though the journey is a demanding one, a hike up to these hallowed heights is an absolute must for lovers of the great outdoors.

Self-catering cottages to rent in Starbotton are the perfect places to stay on a break in this outstandingly beautiful part of Yorkshire.
