One of the most historical places in the region sits in the nearby village of Tintagel. Tintagel Castle is linked to the legends of King Arthur, and is said to have been his birthplace. Boasting stunning architecture and a history which dates back to Roman times. Tucked underneath the stunning cliffs where Tintagel Castle sits, is Merlin's Cave, which was made famous by Tennyson's poem, in which he described the waves bring an infant Arthur to shore and Merlin carrying him to the safety of the cave.
